I am beyond thrilled to share that I have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Womandla Women in STEAM Awards. This recognition is a celebration of not just my journey, but the power of perseverance, passion, and purpose in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, AI, Energy, Advocacy in STEAM, and as a Rising Star.
From the inception of Ulwazi Scientific Communications and STEM Research to the creative expansion of M’Afrika By Kolisa African Streetwear, my mission has always been to bridge the gaps within science, education, and culture. Whether it’s through advancing ocean science development, shaping global curricula, or leading impactful ocean policy discussions at international platforms like the United Nations Ocean Decade Conference, my drive has been fueled by a desire to make a tangible difference. This nomination is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the incredible teams and communities I’ve worked with. It’s a nod to the countless hours dedicated to pushing the boundaries of STEAM and advocating for a more inclusive and innovative future.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Womandla Foundation for recognizing the hard work, dedication, and love I have poured into these fields. This honor not only celebrates the achievements of the past but also inspires me to continue breaking barriers and paving the way for the next generation of STEAM leaders. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. The future of STEAM is bright, and I am excited to keep contributing to its brilliance.
