In a groundbreaking initiative, my company, Ulwazi Scientific Communications and STEM Research, is leading a collaborative effort to co-design the Gulf Youth Ambassador Programme curriculum. This partnership exemplifies a commitment to inclusive education and youth empowerment, aligning with Ulwazi’s mission to transform lives through quality and inclusive education.

A Visionary Leader in STEM Education
When I founded Ulwazi Scientific Communications and STEM Research, the idea was to support research and shape futures. So when the team behind the Gulf Youth Ambassador Programme (GYAP), based in Texas, USA, invited us to co-develop their curriculum for young environmental leaders, we were excited. This work is precisely why Ulwazi exists: to build bridges between science, communication, and empowerment.
As the founder and director, I led our team in developing short, practical modules tailored to their needs. We focused on the basics of qualitative and quantitative research methods, science communication, and most importantly, storytelling for impact. These modules were designed to be digestible, engaging, and usable for youth just starting their journeys in environmental advocacy and leadership.

What made this collaboration special was the shared belief that youth deserve to be at the centre of designing their learning journeys. We weren’t just writing content but embedding purpose, identity, and community into a curriculum that reflects their voices and visions.
International Collaborations
International collaborations have been part of my journey since my student days, and now, they’re expanding through my company, Ulwazi. We work internationally, and this partnership with GYAP was a reminder that good science and strong stories transcend borders. I’m proud that a women-led, African-rooted company like ours is helping shape global conversations and global classrooms.
Thank you to the GYAP team for trusting us to co-create something powerful. We can’t wait to see how these young leaders take this foundation and run with it.
